FABIANO / BRANDING · ILLUSTRATION · PRINT DESIGN · PRINT COORDINATION

A presence.
With personality.

For his new pizzeria, Fabio Punzi wanted an identity that conveyed his personality and commitment to Italian cuisine. We modernised the existing logo and developed a hand-drawn chef character based on his appearance. From 2022 to 2023, this became designs for print and promotional materials.

STARTING POINT & IDEA

Italian cuisine.
A personal face.

Fabio commissioned us to brand his new pizzeria. The identity needed to convey quality, flavour and personality – for people who appreciate high-quality Italian cuisine.

An existing client logo provided the starting point. The new character was intended to make Fabio tangible as a chef and pizza specialist and serve as a recurring visual across his materials. Logo and illustration became the unifying design thread.

01 / FABIO BECOMES A CHARACTER

Drawn by hand.
Developed digitally.

Glasses, beard, chef's clothing and pizza give the character its personality. We drew it by hand and digitised it for further design work.

The particular challenge lay in the hand drawing and subsequent digitisation. The finished character is shown here in full.

02 / THE MODERNISED BRAND IDENTITY

An existing logo.
Newly developed.

We modernised the supplied client logo. The white-and-gold version on a black background carries the lines ‘Pizza & Panzerotti’ and ‘Un momento di Salento’.

Together with the personal character, it forms the foundation of the brand identity. The design was developed for different promotional materials – from print and signage to Facebook.

03 / TO HOLD AND TAKE AWAY

From the roll-up banner
to the menu.

Alongside design, we arranged production or printing of flyers, the menu, a roll-up banner and a life-size cardboard character. The selected work shows how logo and illustration come together in use.

A stamp and banner or exterior sign were also part of the design tasks.

The printed materials shown document the design at the time. Any offers, prices and opening hours are historical information.

04 / FABIANO ON THE ROAD

The pizza van.
And its promotional materials.

Delivery flyers with ordering information and a menu were created for the pizza van service. Front and back show the original designs from that time in full.

The vehicle image at the start of this case study is an additional concept visualisation using the original branding and hand-drawn character.

THE WORK CREATED

Logo. Character.
One shared identity.

The project combines logo modernisation, personal illustration and the design of different promotional materials. We developed menus and flyers, a roll-up banner, stamp, banner or exterior sign, Facebook design and advertising for the pizza van service.

Print coordination for flyers, the menu, roll-up banner and cardboard character complemented the design work.
