Provide guidance
We designed FoodCube as a standalone product brand with a website, a clear explanation of its services and examples for different sectors. Smartphones, tablets and desktops are considered from the start.
OUR OWN PRODUCT / FOODCUBE
FoodCube is our own product for the hospitality sector. We combine digital menus with carefully planned ordering processes and a clear product presentation. The aim: less unnecessary walking, simpler coordination and more efficient use of time and staff.

01 / IDEA & CHALLENGE
The initial idea came during a holiday in Dubai: digital menus were already part of everyday life in many of the restaurants visited. This prompted the question of how we could make that experience clear and tangible for hospitality businesses in Germany.
From this observation, we are developing a solution with both guests and hospitality teams in mind. Guests should be able to make their choices easily. Within the business, information should reach the people who need it – with fewer follow-up questions and a better overview.
02 / CONCEPT & IMPLEMENTATION
We designed FoodCube as a standalone product brand with a website, a clear explanation of its services and examples for different sectors. Smartphones, tablets and desktops are considered from the start.
A pricing configurator guides potential customers through models, add-ons and payment options. The selection is passed to the briefing and forms the starting point for a personal discussion.
Individual configuration, a basket and an operator view make the concept tangible. Businesses can try specific workflows before agreeing the right scope.
03 / PRACTICAL BENEFITS
For us, a digital menu is the starting point. What matters is how it supports day-to-day operations: from selection to serving.
When guests enter their own choices and clearly assign them to a table or collection, additional trips solely to take orders can be avoided.
Ingredients, quantities and order status are displayed clearly. This can reduce follow-up questions and help the team identify the next step.
Less manual transfer and more focused use of working time can ease the workload. Prices and availability can be maintained in one place in the Plus demo.
The practical reduction in workload depends on the business and agreed implementation.
04 / TRY FOODCUBE
Open an example and discover the process yourself. The visuals are abstract illustrations; the links take you to interactive demos.
01 / THE GUEST’S VIEW
Choose bread, filling and ingredients step by step, adjust quantities and check your selection in the basket. Six languages plus table and collection options show how an individual offer can be easy to use.
02 / ORDERING AT THE TABLE
The ‘Garten & Gabel’ restaurant demo combines an illustrated menu with quantity selection, a basket and table number. Individual offers and combinations are integrated directly into the selection.
03 / THE OPERATOR’S VIEW
Order Manager Plus shows the journey from an open order through acceptance and preparation to handover. Prices, availability, individual promotions and combination offers can also be managed.
How to test the interaction: Open the restaurant demo and Order Manager Plus in two tabs of the same browser. The examples simulate orders and changes locally – without placing a real order or making a payment.

05 / RESULT & DEVELOPMENT
The result is a coherent product presence: its own brand, website, sector examples, configurators and interactive ordering processes. The design explains the idea and makes its application tangible.
Our approach combines design with an understanding of everyday operations. Features are developed around specific situations and presented clearly.
We have been continuously developing FoodCube since mid-2025. The ordering demos shown model processes in the browser. For operational use, features, processing across devices and setup are agreed individually.
